You must be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by a guardian.
You must be able to swim 200 metres. Children may only paddle in adult company and under adult responsibility.
The lessee is responsible for returning rented equipment on time. Exceeded time is charged according to the price list. (minimum SEK 300)
Any damage to rented equipment will be charged to the renter. Applies to both craft and associated equipment.
Lost or stolen equipment or craft will also be charged to the hirer. Lost key to lock charged with SEK 200
Notify the reception at Vårdnäs if you discover damage to the equipment so we can fix it before the next customer uses the kayak(s).
Be prepared to show identification at any type of rental. It is enough that one person in the party over the age of 18 can provide identification, and then it is that person who is responsible for all rented equipment.
It is not permitted to tow/pull the craft on gravel, sand or stones/cliffs. They must be carried/lifted in the water.
Canoes and kayaks are returned washed and rinsed and put back in the same place where they were picked up.
All paddling is at your own risk.
Always use a life jacket while paddling.
You respect the right of public access ("allemansrätten").
Paid bookings are non-refundable. The booking can be moved up to ten hours before the start to any date if "Weather guarantee" (re-booking protection) is purchased for the booking.
Full refunds are given in the event of weather conditions that make the activity unsuitable or dangerous, such as thunder, storm or other weather conditions.
In the event of illness, the full amount is refunded on presentation of a sickness certificate.
